CROMÓFONOS
Installation executed in a partnership with Élcio Miazaki and Henrique Chiurciu. With kaleidoscopes inherited from Élcio's previous work and from the idea of using sounds and images, the trio produced an interactive piece. The possibility of audience's direct intervention and this interaction's visual and sound results would be the main feature. Cromófonos has three kaleidoscopes of approximately 1.5 m each. They were meant to design on the walls a set of lights coming from within them.
The different possibilities of colors and positions of the lighting are interpreted in real time by a computer that turns the color and brightness information into parameters to generate sounds.
The connection between sound possibilities and lights that control it intended to represent different stages of a process of interaction as "coexistence", the "friction" and "balance".
